Hydraulic Shearing Machine for Haiphong Vietnam
Export Case Study: Hydraulic Shearing Machine Delivery to Haiphong, Vietnam
As a leading manufacturer of sheet metal fabrication equipment, JSTMT continues to expand its footprint in the Southeast Asian market. Our latest project involved the supply and shipment of a high-performance QC12Y-4×2500 Hydraulic Shearing Machine to a manufacturing facility in Haiphong, Vietnam.
Technical Spotlight: The QC12Y-4×2500
The QC12Y series is recognized globally for its robust Swing Beam design. Unlike traditional guillotine shears, the swing beam architecture minimizes blade friction and extends the service life of the cutting edges.

Shipping & Logistics: Shanghai to Vietnam
Ensuring the safe arrival of heavy machinery requires professional logistics management. For this shipment to Haiphong, our technical team executed a strict packaging protocol to withstand sea transit.
Plastic cover to protect dust or raindrop.
tandard and special accessories put in front of the front table, easy to check for suppliers.
LCL Loading Details
Four supported feet are easy for forklift loading and unloading in the loading port and unloading port.
For this LCL (Less than Container Load) shipment, we utilized a four-legged support system. This design allows for rapid and safe forklift handling at both the loading port in China and the unloading port in Vietnam, minimizing the risk of frame misalignment during transit。
Why JSTMT is the Preferred Supplier for Vietnam
Vietnam’s manufacturing sector demands precision and durability. JSTMT meets these needs by offering:
- Top quality Blades: Our shears come equipped with high-quality blades (often using materials like 9CrSi or 6CrW2Si,H13) to handle intensive production schedules.
- Ease of Maintenance: The QC12Y series Hydraulic shearing machine is designed for “ground-level” maintenance, allowing operators to adjust blade gaps quickly for different material thicknesses.
- Regional Support: We provide comprehensive documentation and technical support for our clients in Haiphong and beyond.

Technical Maintenance Guide: Ensuring 100% Shearing Precision
A hydraulic shearing machine is the backbone of any fabrication shop. To maintain the accuracy of your QC12Y-4×2500 and prevent “burring” or “bowing” of the metal, follow this professional maintenance protocol.
1. Blade Gap Adjustment (The 10% Rule)
The most critical factor in a clean cut is the gap between the upper and lower blades.
- The Rule: Generally, the blade gap should be 10% to 12% of the material thickness.
- The Risk: If the gap is too wide, the metal will “fold” instead of cut. If it is too tight, you will chip the high-carbon blades and strain the hydraulic system.
- Pro Tip: Always check the gap at both ends and the center of the bed to ensure the beam hasn’t deflected over time.
2. Nitrogen Return Cylinder Pressure
The QC12Y series uses a Nitrogen (N2) Return Cylinder to lift the beam back up after a cut.
- Maintenance: Check the pressure gauge weekly. If the beam returns slowly or “stutters” on the upward stroke, you likely have a nitrogen leak.
- Safety: Never use oxygen or compressed air to refill these cylinders; only use industrial-grade nitrogen.
3. Hydraulic Oil Filtration and Temperature
Hydraulic shearing machine generates significant heat during high-volume production.
- Oil Quality: Change your hydraulic oil (typically ISO VG 46) after the first 500 hours of operation, then every 2,000 hours thereafter.
- Contamination: Check the suction filter. Small metal particles from the shearing process can enter the tank and “score” the internal walls of your main cylinders, leading to pressure loss.
4. Lubrication of the Backgauge and Swing Points
The backgauge (the part that determines the width of your cut) relies on lead screws or ball screws.
- Weekly Task: Clean the dust off the screws and apply a light lithium grease.
- Pivot Points: The “swing beam” rotates on heavy-duty bushings. Ensure the automatic lubrication system is pumping correctly, or manually grease the main pivot pins every 40 hours of operation.
